Michelle joined our Private Client Department in March 2023. She is originally from Manchester and started her legal career following graduation from Lancaster University’s Law School. Michelle spent seven years specialising in Defendant costs litigation, working for a global law firm.
In 2017, Michelle changed specialisms to non-contentious Private Client work and trained in an award-winning listed Legal 500 Private Client team in Manchester. Upon qualifying as a Solicitor in January 2020, Michelle relocated to the Lake District to specialise in Private Client work.
Michelle can advise on all aspects of Private Client work, including Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, Attorneyship and Deputyship work.
Michelle is an Associate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is a global professional body, the members of which are specialists in all aspects of inheritance and succession planning.
To date, Michelle has obtained the following qualifications via STEP:
- Advanced Certificate in Administration of Estates (2019)
- Advanced Certificate in Administration of Trusts (2021)
- Advanced Certificate in Trust and Estate Accounting (2022).
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and hiking in the Lake District fells and further afield. Michelle also enjoys travelling, and skiing in the winter months.
